Artificial intelligence is currently a topical global phenomena. Its ability to emulate human characteristics has captivated the attention of many, and it is no surprise that the world is trying to keep up. As artificial intelligence begins to become more and more synonymous with everyday life, we are at yet another crossroads in the humanities timeline. Do we rise to the occasion and welcome artificial intelligence, or do we ignore it, and hope it will implode before it has the chance to destroy us?

Embrace the Machine is a collection of design led experiments of what artificial intelligence enhanced design could look like. By employing 4 years of design school training, alongside a fair few trials and errors, Embrace the Machine aims to encourage designers to reflect on the role this technology could play in their own design practices. 

Embrace the Machine was selected as a finalist in Toi Manahau The Designers Institute Best Awards in 2024 and also featured at He Kanohi Kitea Exposure Exhibition 2023.
